Board Certified Plastic Surgeons

While many people in the world of plastic surgery are aware of board certification as an important element of the surgical process, few know the background and purpose of the society.

As the largest plastic surgery society in the world, the mission of ASPS is to advance quality care to plastic surgery patients by encouraging high standards of training, ethics, physician practice and research in plastic surgery. In addition, the society advocates for patient safety, such as requiring its members to operate in accredited surgical facilities that have passed rigorous external review of equipment and staffing.

Being part of the society is an honor and a privilege, as only members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons may display the ASPS Member Surgeon logo.
